CDP Trend and Comparison ReportsThe New York State Cultural Data Project (New York State
CDP) is a powerful management tool for arts and cultural organizations
of all types and sizes. Now that more than 2,000 arts and cultural organizations are
participating in the New York State Cultural Data Project, comparison
reports are now available. Once you have fully submitted one year of
data you can run reports comparing your
organization against others throughout New York State, as well as
California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania! Why use CDP reports? Looking to cut costs? Want to prove that you need more staff? Need a quick report on fundraising for your board meeting? These trend and comparison reports will help you make operational decisions, build the case for support and facilitate long-term planning. To protect your organization's privacy, all the data used in the comparison reports will be in aggregate and will never include organization names. What is a CDP Reports Orientation? The CDP Reports Orientation will give an overview of the available reports and is most useful for organizations that have already completed a Data Profile and are ready to use the reports. Please feel free to attend this session with more than one representative of your organization, including your executive director, your development director, or program staff. Questions? Visit www.nysculturaldata.org or contact the New York State CDP Help Desk at help@nysculturaldata.org or 1-888-NYSCDP-1 (1-888-697-2371).

New York State Cultural Data Project
The New York State Cultural Data Project is a powerful, online management tool designed to strengthen arts and cultural organizations. This unique system allows users to track their own financial and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark themselves against comparable organizations in specific disciplines, geographic regions and budget sizes. Through the New York State CDP Help Desk, organizations have immediate access to free on-call technical assistance and a team of non-profit financial consultants. The New York State CDP is available to large and small organizations, including those with 501(c)3 status, cultural programs within non-arts organizations, organizations using fiscal conduits, and even unincorporated collectives and festivals at no cost. Four private foundations came together to provide the funding for the launch and three years of operations for the New York State Cultural Data Project.
By participating in the New York State CDP, you will be part of a successful and growing project that will allow the arts community as a whole to better articulate and provide evidence for the sector's assets and needs, as well as its contributions to the state and the country.
